Step 5: Meet With Your Provider
Meet privately with your provider by secure video to review your symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, current medications, concerns, and treatment goals.
Step 6: Begin Your Personalized Care Plan
Your provider will discuss appropriate next steps, which may include medication management, laboratory testing, therapy referrals, substance use treatment, follow-up appointments, or other recommendations.

Through convenient telehealth visits, we provide thoughtful evaluations, medication management, and ongoing support to help you better understand your symptoms, explore treatment options, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence. New Mexico telehealth visits are completed through a secure virtual platform. You may attend your appointment from a private location using a phone, tablet, or computer.
Psychiatric Evaluations
A psychiatric evaluation is often the first step when you know something feels off but you are not sure what you need.
During your evaluation, we review your symptoms, history, current concerns, medications, lifestyle factors, and treatment goals. The goal is to better understand what may be contributing to your symptoms and create a plan that fits your needs.
Recovery
Supportive, Respectful Care for Recovery
Substance use concerns deserve care without shame, judgment, or unnecessary barriers. We provide telehealth support for adults experiencing substance use concerns, including opioid use disorder and other substance-related challenges. When appropriate we can prescribe Buprenorphine/Suboxone treatment when clinically appropriate. Naltrexone treatment when clinically appropriate. Harm reduction education. Coordination with therapy, counseling, or community supports when needed. Treatment is individualized. Medication is not automatically prescribed and is based on clinical evaluation, safety, medical history, current symptoms, and applicable federal and New Mexico requirements.
Medication Management
Medications should be a strategy-Not the whole plan. Medication can be helpful, but it should never feel random, rushed, or poorly explained.
Medication management visits focus on choosing, adjusting, monitoring, and educating you about medications used for mental health symptoms. We discuss benefits, risks, side effects, realistic expectations, and how medication fits into your larger wellness plan.

Meet the Provider
Yamila Williams
Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner
With experience across primary care, urgent care, hospital-based medicine, and psychiatry, I bring a broad understanding of how mental and physical health affect one another. As a dual board-certified nurse practitioner in adult medicine and psychiatric mental health, I provide thoughtful, evidence-based care that considers the whole person—not just a diagnosis or list of symptoms.
As a bilingual provider who speaks English and Spanish and comes from a culturally diverse background, I understand that personal beliefs, family experiences, language, and culture can influence how people view mental health and whether they feel comfortable asking for help.
Many individuals delay care because they are concerned they will be judged, misunderstood, or unable to fully express what they are experiencing. My goal is to provide a respectful and welcoming space where clients feel heard, understood, and supported. Through personalized telehealth services, we can have honest conversations, explore treatment options, and develop a plan that respects your values, culture, and individual needs.
